1.
How long do these hats last?
The hats are quite durable. Think of how strong those boxes have to be
to support the weight of 30 beers! Now add the stitched reinforcement
that goes around the edge of the hat, with a wire inside. The cardboard
used is called "wetboard" because it's coated with urethane or
plastic (depending on the brand) so that the moisture that condenses
onto the cans does not ruin the cardboard. Be confident that your Beer
Hat will be able to withstand a reasonable amount of abuse.
*This may or may not be typical. No warranty is implied or intended.
Proper care for your hat is always encouraged.
2.
What are they made out of?
Beer-Hats
are made from brand new beer cases, purchased directly through the beer
companies. This is made possible by our licensing contracts.
3.
I’ve seen your hats on other websites. Who actually makes them?
Montana International, LLC is the name
of the company that holds the patent pending protection, and produces
the hats. When you see hats on other websites, they are being
sold through distributors.
4.
How are Beer Hats “one size fits all”?
The Beer Hats are designed to flex on
the sides so that they will fit any size and/or shape of head. There has
never been a head too big for a beer-hat and if a head is too small the
cure is a little piece of foam stuck to the back of the hat and your all
set.
5.
Why would I buy a Beer-Hat when I could probably figure out how to make
one myself?
The look of the Beer Hat has developed
and matured over the years from a clumsy looking hat cut out by hand and
held together with staples to something that is grabbing everyone’s
attention. The patterns for the hat are cut from a precision cutting die
using a heavy-duty hydraulic press that makes every hat the same. The
hats are then assembled and sewn together using industrial sewing
machines. While it may be possible to create your own, we’re confident
that our hats look professionally made and “store-bought.”
6.
Is there a patent on the beer-hat?
A patent application has been filed in
both the USA and in Canada. We anticipate the actual patent(s) will be
issued soon.
